Don’t be shy about asking the teacher a question or asking that he or she go over a few points. You may be the only person with the nerve to ask questions that the whole class is wanting to ask.
Try forming a study group and see if there is a peer tutoring program at your school. If your textbook doesn’t explain much, there are plenty of websites with explanations that can help you understand the more complicated things. Ask your parents to purchase a study guide at the book store or check your local library to see if there is one you can borrow for a while.
There are DVD’s and other things available for you to review at home.
Good luck. Try hard. College is coming soon and it can be tougher there since you are more responsible for your grades.
It could be that you’re having problems with the subjects or that the teacher isn’t putting over the subject in a memorable way? Find out if anyone else is having problems as well and you might benefit from talking to the teacher after class and explaining that it’s not sinking in.
They may take the time to explain any sticking points and/or give you some basic examples that will lead you to understand it easier.
