High School?

Im in grade 8 and since i dont go to a public school I don’t go from elementary school to middle school so as where in middle school you have cafeterias and lockers I don’t have any of that so I wont get any practice for high school. I’m not worried about making friends, the thing that DOES worry me (A LOT) is getting from class to class on time, doing my locker, the lock part, finishing homework and going on the ttc, can some one please help me!!!???

I also went to a private school through 8th grade. i’ll answer your question in order.

1. You find a groove. If you’re classes are very far from each other ask if you can get a permanent pass.

2. Keep your locker combination somewhere handy for the first two weeks. It does not take long to get it right. Ask the people next to you if they can open you locker if you forget the technique. It helps to put your things in other friends lockers but make sure you can trust them. Bring your things for three or four classes. Try to go to your locker before a class with a teacher who is lenient about tardies. If you are allowed to, use your book bag.

3.You get whole periods to do homework if you don’t have a

packed schedule.

Sorry i don’t know what ttc is but everything will come together and you will get used to it. Take honors classes, the people are not cooks and drug dealers. Good luck!

Calm down. You will get the whole lock/locker thing within a week or two and freshman year is not that hard. It just takes some getting used to is all. About the getting to class on time, don’t do what all the freshman in my school do (which the most annoying thing a person could do at my school) and just stand there. When walking through the crowded hallways, standing there will get you pushed so you’re going to have to push a little and learn how to zigzag around people that are walking slow.

My siblings and I had the same experience. Stupid grammar schools. >:(

Anyway, it’s not that hard to adjust. Combination locks are easy if you can remember the combo, and lockers themselves aren’t a problem at all. Most schools give you plenty of time to get between classes, so as long as you don’t stop for five minutes talking to people, you can get between classes easily. Homework seems to be less to me than it was in grammar school, but I might just be lucky, or getting used to it. I don’t know what you mean by ttc, but the rest is a lot easier than you’d think

high school can be a little intense at first, but yo uget used to it really quickly. memorize your lock over summer vacation. that will help bundles. you really don’t need to worry about your locker. nothing has to be done to it unless you want to decorate it. homework is not to much either. your teachers know you have a whole bunch of classes. you will have plenty of time to get to your classes so don’t even worry about that. you need not worry. i was there once. now i am a senior and i survived and you can too! to choose a best answer you go to the question and click the button next to the question the says “Choose as best answer” good luck and you will do great!

dont worry about the elementary practice you thing you need for high school

ive had that too but when you first start out in high school it will be a little hard to adjust but pretty soon you’ll get into the groove of things..

you will get to class on time dont worry about that you usually have 5 minutes to get from class to class..

lock part is simple as long as you know the code..it would be a little hard a first but you’ll have it down and it would be a breeze..this is just high school anxiety you have right now..ive had it before but trust me there’s nothing to worry about..

hope i helped & dont worry =]

*for best answers i think you have to wait it out until tomorrow & then i think you could choose..

Go a few days before school starts and get used to using your locker and the combination and the hallways, practice different ways to get to your classes and do it over and over until you are sure where they are. As far as friends, high school is better than any other year Friends are very easy to make in HS. Good luck-everything will be fine.

Just don’t worry about it until the time comes… it will just make you even more nervous about the whole situation. You will quickly learn everything you need to know, just take it one day at a time.
