Hi! I’m rising 9th grader and am begining high school for the first time.?
Does anyone have any tips or help for me? I’m really exxcited, but am still kind of nervous.

Get involved in a lot of extra curricular activities. You’ll easily meet people with the same interests as you.

Make friends with good people who you think will become successful and will be good role models. Don’t hang out with losers. Don’t put all your efforts into “fitting in” either. High School has become too much of a “social scene” rather than a learning institution that it’s meant to be. You will become more successful later in life if you spend time getting a good education now, finishing college and getting into a good career.

well you are the *low man on the totum pole* (figure of speech) DONT EVER start fights with upper classmen….so you will have to wait till sophomore year until you can slam the freshman lol. Dont be stuck up and you wont get beat up by upper classman. Thats all I have to say. Freshman is probably one of the worst high school years.

Socially: act confident, talk to new people, be friendly to everyone if you can be. Academically: take advantage of your resources and get to know your teachers. The more they can put a name to a face and have it mean something, the better off you’ll be. Don’t worry–it’s scary, but you’ll adjust in no time.

join a sport but dont walk around like you own the place, seniors dont like that. make a bunch of friends and u’ll easily rise to the top. dont worry too much about being opular, ur grades will drop SO fast!

me too, im in the same situation, my brother told me that theres nothing to worry about, once u start that u’ll get the hang of it and people are different when they were in highschool. they’re suppose to be real nice and stuff like that, but im ready to experience it on my own
