Have I been slacking over the years academically…reading etc?

OK, in the second grade I was already reading at a fifth grade reading level and went to a state-wide thing (I forgot what it was:-) as one of two reps. from my elementary school, I still have the certificate of excellence.

However, in the sixth grade I found myself getting lazier and lazier and began to read just sixth to seventh grade books and I became average in writing:-(

Now, in high school I’m a very good writer and I do read. But the other day my teacher asked my honors english class if they had read any books from a list given to us and EVERYONE raised their hand except me. I don’t even read Harry Potter! The only things I have time to read now are assigned novels because I can’t just apply myself to one class.

So, am I getting lazier?
