Usually or not always you are going to a new building. The 9th grade is a turning point in your educational career.
Not only will you meet teachers who, in many cases ,tend to know more about their subjects but you will meet many new people. Some of them will become your friends.
There usually an increase in extra-curricular activities where you can explore your old interests and make new ones.
Good luck. Learn and enjoy.

9th was my worst actually. Maybe because it’s less stressful course wise if you take the basic courses required for freshman. Sure I got better grades in 9th than I did anything else, but that year was basicly for me to get used to the kids and fnd out who my friends are, which I did and we had more fun 10th and 11th grade than in 9th! The higher up you get the more stressful the courses.

Freshman year sucks! That’s when the upper class-men dump the freshmen in the garbage cans.
Frosh get picked on!
