Driver’s license question?

Okay, I am in Driver’s ed right now. My behind the wheel instructor is really grouchy and scrupulous. On all of my behind the wheel lessons, I got a C from him. I only have one more lesson with him before the final road test. These behind the wheel grades don’t affect our GPA’s or anything, they just determine if we can get a license quickly and easily at the DMV or not. Well, you have to get an A/B for behind the wheel and an A/B for classroom. I have an A for the classroom, and yes, a C for behind the wheel. I really don’t think I could get any better with one more lesson no matter how much I practice. I honestly think that my instructor doesn’t like me. He talks more nicely to the other girl I am partnered with and she drives very similar to how I drive. Therefore, I know that I am not going to be able to get my license when I turn 16. So, I was wondering, does anyone know how much my parents are going to have to pay another driver’s lesson company so I can actually get a license?

Have your parents take you out driving and have them be completely blunt and objective as possible. Chances are, your skills aren’t as good as they appear to be from your subjective view. Getting your license right when you turn 16 [or whatever your age is] isn’t that big a deal. It’s better to be a good driver and wait, than a bad one and rush.

I didn’t mean to offend you at all, just wanted to state the facts. I would suggest trying to drive with someone other than your parents as well. Get as much experience as you can before you go back out with the company. Also, I recommend practicing in graveyards. It will improve your turning and parking skills.

As, it may be best if you don’t get your license right away. You don’t want to be a hazard to yourself and those around you.

If you are not a good driver you should not get a license. It would be dangerous to yourself. to others and to the car.

Look in the telephone book under driving schools. Call a few of them and you will have a good idea about the prices that they charge. Prices in different areas do vary.

I don’t think that’s fair. Are you sure you are not a bad driver? Some people are kind of blinded as to how bad they really are at driving. If you think you’re a good driver, then politely ask your instructor why exactly you are receiving a C. He should give you some valid reasons.
