You should exchange telephone number with at least two students in each of your subject classes whom you may contact for situations such as you described.

As a former NYC High School Social Studies teacher and as a retired NYC High School principal I can inform you that there are many different textbooks for Global History even in the same school. Schools may purchase textbooks from a rather long state list that is provided by the New York State Department of Education. There are even ways for a school to obtain textbooks that are not on the list.

If you do not obtain your parent might want to write your teacher a note about why you did not do your homework together with the ways that you are taking to make sure that it does not happen again and that you will of course make up the assignment.

If you do manage to obtain the assignment you can use a good search engine such as Google or Yahoo to obtain the answers. There are also some excellent free on line homework help sites such as pathwhelp.com and jishka .com that you can use for any subject.
