Do school kids still have fights after school?
7th and 8th grade there were fights after school nearly every day. Usually the fights
were held behind the church or behind the
concession stand. Everybody in the school
knew about the fight by the end of the school
day, and of course a lot of kids showed up to see it. I am wondering if it is the same
type of environment exists in schools today.
I grew up in the Midwest for point of reference.
Favorite Answer
I teach in a large urban district in the Midwest. There are schools here that have fights nearly everyday in school, in the classroom, after school, and on city buses. And then to top it off, with the new technology(cell phones, texting), students would get others involved. Maybe that doesn’t seem so bad, but some of them are calling parents and they come to school to finish up the fights! Hmmmm, wonder where the kids get the ideas?
Now they bring guns to school!
