Could I get into Cornell?

Or any place like, Georgetown…somewhere near that difficulty level?

I’m thinking of applying early action.

Academic:

GPA: 3.75 (Isn’t that kinda low?)

SAT score: 2250 (I’ll retake it)

I’ve taken 10 AP classes, 13 honors classes, and 2 regular, throughout high school.

Non-academic:

I’ve taken singing lessons for 10 years. So I organized a program with about 10 of my friends who can also sing. We posted advertisements everywhere and held singing classes for little kids who wanted to learn how to sing. At the end, they held a stage performance. This whole thing raised $500.

I’ve also held a charity drive and donated everything to the salvation army.

I was also an intern at NIH.

I’ve volunteered at a hospital, museum, and other places and I have over 300 community service hours. I was also involved in about 3 clubs in school including NHS. I was secretary of the ecology club.

I sang on stage numerous times, winning a prize for the only competition I’ve performed in.

I got into cornell with a 1560 SAT score and a 3.5 gpa as well as 2 ap courses and about 20 honors courses.

It’s not as hard as it sounds…

I also got into columbia, nyu and a bunch of other universities.

I don’t know a whole lot about Cornell specifically, but I can attest that schools usually put a lot of focus on your extracurricular activities as well as GPA, so I would emphasize that like you are now, and I would say you have at least a chance!
