Canceling recess?
I have heard that some schools are canceling recess for more time to study. What do you think of this? I remembered when my elementary school canceled recess it was only for a month though and it was only our school. they canceled it because they wanted to see if the children would get better grades from the extra studying but it turned out our grades got worst probably because it was to stressful and had less constructive play.

I think it’s a bad idea. Kids need a little time to burn off steam. I would be totally against this if they did it in our school district.

Elememtry Kids needs time to play. They are not Mature enough to sit in a class all day studying. 4th or 5th graders may have decreased recess to get them ready for middle school, but besides that, I see no point.
