Can a school bus driver restrain a five year old in a school bus?
The child in question was sitting in there seat, although they were not behaving as told.The child was placed in a restraint and straped ,arms spread out against the bus walls. Is this legal?

Should they not have had an assistant with them, so the driver could be concentrating on the driving.

in Georgia it is not , at teacher a my wife’s school took her foot and lightly brushed it against the child’s butt ( not a problem child 1 of her better students and told him to take a seat ) she was arrested 2 hours later and terminated 2 weeks later another teacher was terminated for making her class hold on to a rope so the would stay in line .these are elementary school kids , it may be different in other states but not in Georgia.if a student hit’s a teacher all they can do is report it . TIMES HAVE SURE CHANGED !

You need to ask a lawyer on this one? Good question. I know one thing, the driver is never supposed to touch the child unless in emergencies only. And this is not an emergency. or like KJA63 says, are you making this up?

no I dont think it is the fact is an adult is never allowed to put their hands on a child in such a way even if they are not behaving its abuse.

no it is not, go straight to the police or his boss and ask for some answers, that is not right, he cant do that, it dont matter how much the child is playing up, u should never restrain them,
