ARTISTIC:

choir, band, musicals, theater (a walk on part in a play is enough), art class, art club, dance of any kind, writing lyrics or poetry, poetry slams, Forensics (interpretive categories), playing an instrument of any kind, multi-media class,

INTELLECTUAL:

National honor’s Society, Science Olympiad, Forensics (public address catagories), math team, debate team, Model U.N., tutoring, economics team, any competition involving robotics, journalism class, yearbook staff

SOCIAL:

tutoring, volunteering for anything (there are a TON of options out there–heck, you could volunteer for your sports program even), student government, SADD, political activism of any kind (join your political party, advocate for an issue coming up in an election), PFLAG, any kind of social activism (like animals? consider ASPCA. Like environmental stuff? consider Sierra Club. There’ll be an organization for whatever you care about), start your own group (even if it’s just you) that addresses a need in your community (example–an elderly neighbor’s lawns a mess. . .clean it)
