Balancing school, music, and work?

Anyone here thinking of pursuing a career in music, and are still in high school? I’m not sure if I should be taking a job on top of having to practice 2-3 hours a day, and do homework. I was wondering if there’s anyone out there who is doing this, and is doing well in school, and music?

If you want a career in music then choose a school that focuses mainly on music or if you are attending the school then choose subjects that focus on the arts.

Its really hard to do well in all three things one of them is going to lack behind. If you can only have a job during breaks. Like winter/spring break or summer. Are you in regular classes in school or honors? If your in honors than definitely quit the job.
