What questions?? I think I might be smarter than a 6th grader but I doubt any 6th grader can do calculus. Hah!! I didn’t think so. . .

EDIT:

1) Mass is the amount of matter an object has

2) Mass is not affected by gravity because gravity will simply add pressure to matter but it will not take any matter away from an object; in other words, it can flatten matter but not subtract it

3) They would contain different masses because sand occupies more space; thus, it will fill the shoebox almost completely, but cereal is bigger and there will be many spaces when putting inside the cereal box, so the box will not be completey filled.

4) No, you would measure an elephant using kilograms, but actually maybe even megagrams or gigagrams.

1.) What is the definition of mass?

Mass is a measure of matter. It is how much matter there is, not how strongly it is being pulled by gravity.

2.) Why is it not affected by gravity?

Gravity does not affect how much of something there is- even in space where things do not weigh anything they have mass.

3.) If we filled a shoebox with sand, and another with cereal, would you expect them to be the same mass? explain why.

No, sand has a higher density. They would have the same volume though.

4.) If you were going to measure the mass of an elephant, would you measure in milligrams? If not, what unit of measure would you use?

No, I think I would use kilograms, or perhaps slugs if I wanted to use the US common system of measurments!

a million. You spelled it incorrect: Mnemonic gadget= techniques of remembering issues 2. 3x+2-7 3. Bubonic Plague 4. Astronomer 5. White 6. Lois Lowery additionally wrote “The Silent Boy” 7. Northern lighting fixtures would desire to do with the earth’s magnetic fields and the sunlight’s UV rays which creates a phosphoresce-like result 8. propose=universal, median=middle #, mode=maximum uncomplicated #, outliers=# this is a lot faraway from others 9. line (word of advice: all lines are rapidly, so by using announcing “rapidly line,” the interest “rapidly” is redundant, so whenever you commence taking algebra, and your instructor says “rapidly line,” you are able to tell him/her that each and all and sundry lines are rapidly) 10. y=x is a user-friendly function, yet a greater complicated function could be: -9(sin 2x-pi)+4=y additionally…is #3 announcing 2x + 3b + x + 7 – b ??? or -2x + 3b +x +7 – b ??? use a colon (:) instead of a splash, which may well be misinterpreted for a damaging/minus.

1.Mass is a property of matter equal to the measure of an object’ s resistant to changes in either the speed or direction of it’ s motion. Not dependent on gravity and therefore is different from but proportional to its weight.

2.Because mass make an object to have weight that make it can stand the gravitation.

3.No,because even they are in the same size but have different weight, sand have more weight than cereal.

4.Elephant is a big animal , usually we use ton to describe its weight or mass.

1 the amount of mass matter is

2 gravity changes weight, no matter how much gravity, the same amount of the thing will still remain

3No cereal would leave air pockets

4 No kilograms

I’m going to have to say yes. Even though I may not be able to recall random facts at a moment’s notice, my education and knowledge is put to practical use every day. Just don’t ask me any real questions….and I can stick to my story here! ☺

I doubt a sixth grade teacher would ask the following question:

There is this boy named cole and my friend thinks he totally geeky but i think hes sweet. and i was wondering if i should ask him out because he is always really nice to me and 1 other guy that I liked ( nick) is totally HAWT but a total JERK! my sister said that I shudnt ask him(cole) out because when gurls ask out guys, it means they(girls) r losers! (according 2 my sister). and also, she nos who i want 2 ask out and she said, ” u can ask him out, but ill make sure he says no!” wut do i do?

….

But that is just my option 🙂
