Are you or your child striving to be the best? If so, are you really going to achieve this through extra tuition?

Are your/your child’s classmates all studying extra tuition outside school? If they are, then you have been caught up in the rat-race and you’ll get left behind if you don’t (this has become a huge problem in many Asian countries now, leading to stressed out children and even suicide).

Is your/your child’s teacher forcing you/him/her to take extra curricular classes in the hope of getting some extra cash out of his/her students? (Another common problem in Asia) If this is true, start a petition letter and get as many fellow students’ signatures as you can, then take it to the local education office. But be careful that you don’t leave yourself open to reprisal, i.e. remain anonymous.

If the problem is due to the fact that you/your child is being left behind in class through no other reason than just needing some extra help, then, and only then is it worth taking extra tuition.

some people make it sound like you’re asking if children should be made to pay tuition, which in any case would be a ridiculously stupid question. no they shouldnt have to pay tuition, unless of course, its for college in which case it wouldnt be a child attending.

yet some people make it sound like you’re asking if children should have a tutor, which is also a stupid question because if the child is smart, why should they have to have a tutor!?
