Have You Hugged Your Child Today?

Many children in the world do not get the love and attention from their parents. Did you hug your child today or at least tell them you loved them?

If you didn’t or never have, is there a reason why?

Is it because you never were yourself?

Never mind the basic necessities or the latest materials you endow your child with, or car, or parties. That is trivial and of no vaule unless accompanined by a hug and love.

HUG your child today because I guarantee they will LOOK for love in all the wrong places, and you my dear parent are the sole responsibility.

Of course! I hug them every chance I get. I just taught my first graders the song, “Four Hugs a Day” by Charlotte Diamond. Four hugs a day. That’s the minimun, not the maximum!

I hug my daughter before she ever gets out of bed. I hug her throughout the day. When we get into my truck, I say “hugs & kisses first”. We give hugs & kisses all day long. My daughter loves to be snuggled.

From one early childhood professional to another, I thank you. Most parents get so caught up in their egocentric lives to realize that their children are living breathing people. Most parents think their children are little robots.

Yes, I did when I dropped her off at daycare. We then each put a kiss in each other’s palms of our hands and held it tight in case either of us need a kiss during the day, there’s always one in the palms of our hands!

Yep. I hugged both and told them I loved them

before they left for school. Why because life

is short and you never know when its your time

to go. I always want them to know that they are

loved.
