Two year olds need to be read to and allowed to actively explore and interact with their environment. Sorry, They do not need TV or computers. There is time for that later! Too much TV and computer use at this early age can cause attention problems later in school.

I would say that a two year old should not be on the internet. They should be outside playing or being read to or entertained in some way. However I do think that nick jr’s noggin website is nice. www.noggin.com If you need some activities to entertain a two year old, try www.perpetualpreschool.com They have activities on a variety of themes as well as topics like nutrition, creative art, literacy and positive guidance. Good luck

Before my grandson was three, he was delighted to play on ‘playhousedisney.com’. It is Disney based, obviously, and has preschool games to play, papers with pictures to color, to make cards, etc. that can be printed out, as well. I do read to him, and still, he enjoys using the computer…..he just turned 6 and he’s quite good at using the computer. His computer time is always timed to be no longer than 30 minutes, making sure he has time to have stories read to him, told to him, and that he has lots of exercise time, play time, and hands on creative play. This website has different levels of ability to choose…………so, now and again, he still plays it! (he types it into the web search, by himself…….I leave the site address on the computer, and he types it in). typing is good to know, as well.

I think it’s fun and a good learning experience to play online games with a young child. At 2, they will most likely be sitting your lap, and you’ll be helping them with the keyboard and mouse clicks.

My kids loved playing games at that age, but of course I helped them. My suggestions would be:

http://www.pbskids.org

http://www.noggin.com

http://www.nickjr.com

They have great learning games at many levels.
