Anybody rejected as a drum student because of poor or no coordination skills?

You never nailed an exercise and the teacher just told you you had no talent.

You can’t be rejected for having no talent, but if a teacher can tell that you aren’t even trying to get better he may ask you to take some time to consider if you actually want to play drums. The first time I took up an instrument it was clarinet at age 10, and I NEVER practiced and hated the instrument. My teacher told me to try out other instruments and find one I liked. I eventually found I LOVED the guitar and he was able to refer me to a guitar teacher who taught at the same center.
