Asia is third world, politically, but coming along. Europe is too rooted in feudal thinking. Antarctica is unpopulated, so they don’t count. Australia is okay, but lacks natural resources and is a bit backwards socially. South America carried the remnants of European feudalism and despotism.

That leaves us with North America, principally the US or Canada. Other than universal health care and quality hockey, Canada just cannot compete with the USA.

We may have problems, we are certainly far from perfect, but where else would you want to be? And if you want to be there, please go there, right now!

Unless a person has lived in EVERY country (and was born in none) they cannot fairly make this statement..

People tend to think the country where they were born is the ‘best’.

Brainwashing from leaders and media reinfoces this, as does lack of knowledge and lack of personal experiences outside ones country.

again – unless you have lived in EVERY country how can you say ANY is best?

However, I think Canada is the best of all countries. Our health care is covered by our taxes and we are a multicultural society, somewhat more relaxed about life in general.

French, British, Aussies…the list goes on and on. Just a matter of opinion — and there’s nothing wrong with having pride in the country in which you were born.
