Why does my high school have a metal detector and make me take off my belt before I enter to go to class?
I go to high school in bronx, ny. I don’t like the detector.

They are checking for weapons to protect you and all of the other students from crazies, so be glad for it.

Unfortunately because of all the kids bringing weapons and guns to school and killing each other. I feel so sorry for kids like you. I live in Canada and I don’t know of any schools here that do that yet. There are some gangs in the big cities but for the most part we aren’t as gun crazy as you Americans!!! I wish you peace and hopefully a good education so you can get out of that hell hole one day. It’s a big world out there and there are a lot of better places to be. Peace to you and be careful!!!
