The complete school curiculum is terrible. Every school is running the same lame curiculum. Instead of teaching us about good jobs/career choices in high school, they’re teaching us how to write an essay on a book written 25 years ago. Instead of teaching us more about the current country situation, they’re teaching us about the rise and decline of the Egyptian empire. Basically, school doesn’t determine how smart you are or how good you will do in life. School (at the moment, until it is completely revamped) is just showing anyone who looks at it (lets say your applying for college or a job) if you can set your mind to something and complete it. If they see that you couldn’t handle high school and dropped out, it will make them think you cannot handle stressed situations and they may not hire you because of that.

Not everyone who parties/drinks/etc does well….and on the other hand, there are some people who do these things and do well. I, myself let loose at the end of high school & still did very well. I was motivated and extremely serious about school (one of the only one of my group of friends to actually go to a university). I just knew how to balance my time needed for studying and school events, as well as my partying etc.

I don’t know if this is exactly relevant to your question, but i hope it’s in the right direction.

Some people can do all the party stuff and also get their work done, and some people can’t. Many people who don’t party also do very well. It depends on the person.

me, i smoke and sometime parties, but no drink. i got 3.5GPA. motivated, creative, and inovative don’t mean that gurantee you should earn a good grade. much of your sucess in school will depend on how much you could get from teachers. or some people are genuis.

school makes people afraid to fail.. and.. guess what .. the people you described dont give a **** about school..

i mean.. define “do well”.. maybe 3.0? lol

drugs are bad for the body, and the brain.. so even if they did well, they could have done better w/o drugs

but bottom line.. school sucks

ummmmmm, WRONG. kids who do that do not do well in school. your examples come from a time quite different from ours. there are people who end up doing well for themselves who didn’t do so great in school, but they were lucky. few and far in between.

pot kills brain cells. kids who party and drink don’t do well. seriously. dude.

Where is your proof of that? I have not seen it to be true at all.
