The “40” means you are 40 blocks away from wherever the counting starts in your community. The “07” is assigned according to a standard which says there could be, combined on both sides of the street, 6 other addresses between you and the corner.

maybe because there are other streets in your state with the same name? im just thinking.. im not sure its right but …
