Why do employers hire people based upon credit scores and grade point averages ?

It’s basically more and more like: “dregs to the left and normals to the right”
now can you tell me why the ugly ones get all the girls?
Credit scores supposedly show your economic stability and your ability to make good decisions in life (people never have poor credit without doing it to themselves), that an employer hopes will cross over into good decision-making in your stable career life at their company. This one’s a little controversial, and probably a little more than half of the HR directors and other hiring types that I’ve talked to could give a flying crap about your credit score. Others take it very seriously.
Grade point averages are considered indicia of intelligence, ability to work and achieve, believed to be good indicators for success in life and employment.
