It was cold. all i could remember was staring at my daughter worringly, tears intruding my eyes. All of a sudden, a nurse in a tight stuffy suit told me to walk in the waiting room, i fought it but i was finally escorted by some doctors. I was looking down when doctor carlos walked up to me, it was hard to look up, i knew what he was about to say. He gave me sorrowfilled and meaningful look. ” im sorry nancy, wev’e lost her.. ” I crashed to the floor, bawling. I couldn’t take it, i couldn’t take another loss in my life. “i think you should go home now” the doctor said in a calming way. ” if you need some help, don’t be afraid to call me ” I gave him a pitiful smile and walked out, feeling suicidal.

The maroon airplane flew accross the sky gracefully. Passerby’s marveled at it’s beautiful glory and majesty. It was the largest airplane to ever fly out of houston airport. I can still remember it perfectly, at first it looked like just a small red orb, baloon like, almost. Then suddly, it landed. All i could remember was the sound of shrieks, smoke, and then.. blackness..

“I think we’ve lost her,” the doctor said in a low voice.

“Oh no,” her mom replied in a sad voice, while the tears welled in her eyes.

“I think you should go home now,” the doctor said, putting his hand on her arm to comfort her.

The green and red airplane flew across the sky, dropping a bomb in the middle of the town. She could only see smoke everywhere as the buildings collapsed to the ground.

It might be good (I’m assuming this is part of a larger story) to have names for the mother and the girl. And who is she in the second part? The mother, or is that another scene?

Staring down at his brown hush puppy shoe’s, with a low and disappointing tone Dr. Everett mutters,”We’ve lost her”. Next to him, a small, skinny, cashier from Oklahoma replies “Oh no-!” and drops to her knees, like a Hyundai falling from the September sky.

-“I think its time you go…” says the wrinkled Dr., while he lights his last cigarette from his crumbled pack of Camel lights.

As the woman leaves Santa Gertrudes Hospital, high above the clouds, an airplane, red and green like a turtle cover in lady bugs, drops a massive object from its belly.

When it hit, the woman did not cry. She did not scream, or even flinch. She just walked. Walked home with only one thing on her mind. That little piece of joy, that little piece of the world that she made.

That pale September day, Littia died.. And maybe, I did too a little.
