whats better year round or traditional schools?

i go to a year round school which is basically you go on for 3 months and take a break off, and you repeat that three times, and i think its great, but are traditonal schools better since you get a long summer break and a sprink break?

I really don’t think the length of time is as important as the quality of the time spent while at school. There are arguments for both. Some experts feel that if you do not allow time for kids to rest, they become “brain dead” and their rate of absorption of information deteriorates. Then there are those that argue that if you allow too much time for break, you spend a great deal of time at the beginning of the school term catching students back up to the point where you left off the previous term.

I think the greatest tell tell for this argument is the case of the homeschooled individuals. How is it that homeschoolers spend less time doing ourse work in the classroom, yet in most cases finish curriculum well ahead of their counterparts in traditional classrooms?

Makes you wonder if it really is more about QUALITY and less about QUANTITY.

I went to both types. I am currently in a traditional school. I like it alot better, you actually have a chance to relax before going back to school.

There are pros and cons on both sides. Personally, I prefer the traditional school.
