What would be the best way for me to get the privilege of being valedictorian of the ‘ll class?

I am in my freshman year, and I know it’s a little too early to think about this, but what would be the best thing(s) to do in order to be valedictorian of my future senior class. My school goes by the standard qualifications and I am soon to be a soloist in my high school marching band. I am a member of The Boy Scouts of America and should be Eagle in a year. I would most likely get straight A’s throughout high school. So I need some tips on being top of my class, since I don’t play sports.

Take a full course load all 4 years (no off periods). Take all of the advanced classes you can. Usually, if you take honors classes or AP classes, your grades are weighted heavier than standard classes, thus bringing your average up. Sports, band, and extracurriculars won’t help you be valedictorian, other than possibly being an easy A for you. It’s definitely NOT too early to be thinking about this! Good luck!
