what universities will hire an iraqe professor of agriculture?
If an Iraqe professor of agriculture comes to the United States, what universities would hire a foreign professor? Or, what steps should the professor go through to gain employment lawfully?

I would think that every university would have their own rules, but I do know that many universities hire prof’s from overseas. As for lawfully gaining employment, you would need to go through the US Dept. of Immigration, either going through citizenship procedures (if that is what you desire) or coming in on a work visa.
I’m honestly not sure what the laws are right now…they’ve changed so much over the past few years. However, here is the website, and if you contact them, they can give you the information.

Also, the US embassy in Iraq should be able to give you good information as well.
Good luck!

You would have to get certified in this country. This shouldn’t be all that hard, more of a paperwork “hoop” to jump through than anything else. Contact the institutions you are interested in and ask their particular requirements, as they will vary from place to place.
