What to do if one loses their college degree?

Well, I didn’t lose mine. It was on a table and I had just showed it to my cousin. As we were having coffee, accidentally it spilled all over. I called the school and they said a replacement will cost almost $60 and I must appear in person, which is not a big deal. Yes, I know, its a really dumb thing.

If I get a new job, and they ask for a degree. How do I prove that I have a degree. Do work places accept a temporary letter from colleges?

I’ve yet to hear of anyone (other than the student) who wanted to look at anyone’s degree from any institution except for some people in Doctor’s offices wondering if it’s ‘for real’ or not. Employers will normally ask for a transcript from the college/university in question, but even that is probably not done much, anymore.

No one needs to see the actual diploma. Don’t worry about it.
