When she remarried she moved out of state and I wanted to stay and finish high school. Had to get a job to feed myself, so I dropped out of school.
A year later, I met a guy and after a year, got pregnant with my first child. Continued to work and two years later had another baby. We did get married BTW, and still are after 13 years.
Finally got my head out of my @55 and got my GED. Had no time or money to go any further (gotta feed the kids).
Well, 7 years later, I now have the time and the money. Starting my second year at a community college next month, and plan to transfer to a state university to get my bachelor’s in business.
This “list” is hardly all inclusive, and there is nothing to rationalize. Life happens and there are some things we have no control over. The point is…I have the opportunity to do it now at 31 while some never even get the chance.
For those that don’t think it’s possible…grab that window of opportunity when you see it… don’t doubt it or mistrust it.
