From my experience, I think a person should concentrate on the material they have. They should understand the main concept of what they have to study.(never learn word to word without understanding the material,it would remain in your mind only for sometime).

UNDERSTAND & THEN EXPLAIN IN YOUR OWN WORDS.

Wish you Good Luck in your studies.

it is best to study around the same place and time every day. having good lighting is important to help you stay alert and cause your eyes less strain. try to study somewhere with minimal distractions. the best music to listen while studying is none unfortunately, but some researchers say classical music stimulates the brain and helps you focus. you remember much more when you study in groups of 3 or 4 people, (2 people studying together usually leads to conversation and more than 4 can be chaotic). try studying at a desk insted of a bed or on the floor because whenever i do that, i end up lying down (just 5 mintues i’ll say) and falling asleep. before you study, eat a handful of nuts or a banana to help you stay awake if you are going to study for a long time.

take a lot of notes in class becuase it has been also anazyled that writing things down helps you remember more. make flashcards whenever you need to. take short breaks here and there to stretch or grab a snack

The best way to study is to already know it beforehand. That sounds silly, but what it means is that you should preview the material you are studying. If the teacher is going to cover chapter 3 tomorrow then peruse chapter 3 tonight. You don’t have to memorize every detail, but if you read ahead you will be better prepared for the lecture. Those who don’t read ahead are often confused in class and have a harder time catching up.

Remember this simple bit of advice; Study to Learn. Don’t study solely for grades. If you do the only thing you will learn is to follow a carrot on a stick.

People can take away your possessions, but they cannot steal your mind.

Just wondering
it depends on the type of test you are studying for. You definitely want to go into a room with little to none distractions. make sure you are well rested and have all your materials with you so you don’t have to constantly get up. Also taking breaks helps a lot. If you set little goals such as i can go get a glass of water after i finish reading this chapter it also help. Another thing if your reading it helps to take notes of the important stuff on another piece of paper so that you can do a quick review before the test. If your a visual person note cards and diagrams are helpful although they may take a while to prepare. You can also study in a group and have people quiz you but for me studying alone has always been more beneficial than studying in a group.

It begins while you are in the classroom. Whatever the teacher writes on the board, write it down. When you write it down you begin thinking about it. Then when you are done writing it down, you can read over the notes and highlight vocabulary words and terms. It is important to read whatever the teacher has assigned. When you study at night, you can do it by doing whatever homework is assigned. If you are studying for a test it is smart to go over homework that you have done and reread any questions and answers.

For some people it helps to draw a picture to go with what you are studying, especially if you are studying science. Label the picture too. Then when taking the test you can draw the pictures to help you answer the questions.

Others like to highlight their words/ terms with different colors. The colors make the important information stand out.

In college- the students highlight important facts in their text books- high schoolers usually write them out.

Oh- one more… In psychology, I found out that how you study is as important as what you study. If you are going to take a test sitting at a desk, it is better to sit at a desk or table than to lie on your bed or the floor. Your brain associates where you have gathered the knowledge when it comes time to give the knowledge again.

I hope these suggestions work.

Everyone has their own way, but this way makes sense and probably have done me better in school.

Review the all material quickly. Now, thinking back to when you were in class(so you had to be there paying attention to begin with) WHAT did the teacher seem to find important, something that he obviously paid more attention to?

For example, when I took Commercial truck mechanics, I noted that the teacher was specific on the batteries. Of course there were more questions on batteries and the charging circuit. If I studied the fuel delivery system, I would have scored poorly by comparison.

This is what you have to think about for each teacher has their “pet”. I am not saying forget the rest…..just make additional effort in “his field of expertise.”

I think everyone has their own way of studying. When I had to study, it would depend on the type of test. If I had to study for an essay test, I would read the material over and over until I could tell it like a story. Sometimes for the multiple choice/ matching type tests, I would use flash cards that I made myself and get a friend to go over them with me. I always waited until the night before to study, so it was fresh in my mind the day of the test.

Select a corner table in ur room sans every thing that may distract u from study, rather the table must have only the study material u have selected to study at a time.

U must have a note book and pen ready to be utilized all the time.

personally I use a bucket of water to dip my overhanging feet beneath the table.

It helps me concentrate better and run for longer spells without making me feel sleepy.

For me, anywhere where it’s peace and quiet. On some days I even like to go outside to the field in my backyard and sit against a tree while I study. It’s really relaxting so I’m able to focus.
