What is it like being a highschool freshman?

I’m starting HS this year. And I’m not really nervous.

Its just that I’m afraid about being the underclassman.

Is it really that bad?

well, i was a freshman last year. Based on my experience I had fun! I ‘m sure you will too. It’s up to you on how are you going to take things. Just be confident but not too confident! Always remember that there are “upper class” students who will degrade freshmen but show that your confident and mature enough!. Have fun kiddo!

Remember that you will not be the only “underclassman.” All of the other freshmen will be in the same position as you. Depending on the school, the freshmen class is sometimes larger than either the sophomore, junior, or senior classes. If you have a fear of the older classes bullying you, don’t worry! Whether bullying is rare or frequent at your school, there are always ways to avoid it – simply stay neutral with others, try not to make enemies, avoid trouble, etc.

Good luck, and please don’t worry!!! After the first few weeks, you will be completely adjusted to the new school!

Nooo, its not that bad. I was a freshman last year and it was lot of fun! As others said- be confident just not TOO much cause that’s what annoys upperclass men. You only get to be a freshman once in highschool so go out there and enjoy it! I did, you probably will too.

I was a freshman 2years ago. At my school it wasn’t as bad as it seems. Sometimes the upperclassmen did do some degrading but just remember someday you’ll be up there too. Just hold your head high.=]

It’s fun, trust me! Have fun in your Freshman year while you have it! I’m 15 and I’m gonna be a sophomore, it’ll be much harder with all the drumming I have to do in band this year! Good luck and don’t be afraid!
