What does there need to be in a petition to make it ‘legal’ or what should be in a petition?
My school is one big school that has Kindergardeners to Seniors in High school in it.
This petition would not include Prom because that is a very big and important dance that only Juniors and Seniors are aloud to go to unless you are asked by a Junior or Senior to go the dance.
But i was wondering what HAS to be in a petition to make it ‘legal’, or if it even really has a legal form to it?
and how many signatures would you recomend me to get to be able to push the idea into the school boards heads.
any advice or/and help will be greatly appreciated, and if you have a website that has a form for a petition, that would be great also.

Get as many signatures as possible and go to a school board meeting to present it.They are the ones who will make the decision.
The problems with your idea [ that I can see ] are #1- no one really wants 11 yr olds at a dance with 18 yr olds.#2- you are trying to segregate the “couples ” from single students .What is considered a couple? Can it be friends ? Can it be a same sex couple ? What about the people who are not in a couple ?
You have every right to try.
