i don’t think it should be used as a primary source either. my school doesn’t allow it, many are joining in.
actually, encyclopedia in general are not appropriate primary sources for research papers, but wikipedia certainly is not. it’s great for initial research, or to get you going, but it’s not authoritative.

I think it is realiable but Ms. Kitty’s professor has a point. Anyone has access to change anything on their. Whether it is a date or a name. I use it for knowing purposes like about artists and singers. Use a search engine when looking for things or this very site.

It’s just as reliable as Yahoo! Answers. You get “facts” from Average Joe’s and they get to throw in their two cents as well.
