I think that one of the many good reasons to learn a second language is because it expands one’s mind about another culture, which leads to opening oneself to embrace diversity in general, there is much that we can apply to our own lives by learning from other cultures.
Also, it broadens opportunities for further travel, work, hobbies, education, human interaction, etc.
Edit: I forgot to say earlier…good question. Came back to star it.
