GED stands for General Education Diploma. It is for those that failed to get a High School Diploma. (Whether because they dropped out or something happened to where they couldn’t graduate.) Some say that it has the same rights and priviledges as a Diploma, but this isn’t entirely true.
If you hope to go to college, you will have to take some courses at a junior college first – before moving on to a four-year university. (That is assuming the junior college accepts GED applicants – most of them do.)
A GED is not as good as a High School Diploma – but it IS better than having no diploma at all.

G.E.D. is short for general education diploma. its a diploma for the basics. works just as good as a regular high school diploma.
