Used college textbooks?

I need a textbook for my fall class and ecampus really messed me up. They said they shipped it but I never could track it and then they said it was lost. Now I am stuck without a book and they are not even refunding my money quick enough. I cannot afford books as it is and this company made it very hard for me. They also made it sound funny and now they still have the book I ordered on their site and I was told they did not have it. Beware of them this has happened to many people but I need some help.

Let me ask you did you buy it from an indivual seling it through ecampus or the site themselves. How did you pay for it? If you used a debit card go to your bank and dispute the charges. Depending on the bank they may credit your account the next day. If you used paypal then dispute it with them. Cal these people(ecampus) everyday and bug them as to where your book or money is.

Talk to your professor and let them know what happened. I have had some professors that will actually allow the student to use theirs so they wont get too far behind. In other cases see if the book is on reserve at your library and check it out. Many colleges will also have emergency funding for books. In addition you may want to try getting a private student loan from places like nextstudent.com ,which you can get at any time during the semester. If you don’t qualify by yourself and have a cosigner you will have the money for books.

I used them once and it took them almost four weeks to get me my book. Since then I have only used the bookstore at school or Barnes and noble. Good Luck

Sorry to hear of your problem – not what you need right now! If you are still looking for the book, try posting a notice on the bulletin board at your campus. There are usually some used copies floating around and it’s often cheaper to buy them from the previous owner. It also saves shipping hassles.
