Transfer to UC Berkeley from CC science major?

Hi, I am currently in cc, planning to transfer in two yrs. Since I am a science major (biochem or other), it takes 2 to 3 years to finish lower division. I had completed all G.E. and only general chem, now taking o-chem, bio and calculus. GPA = 3.5 Should I stay for 3 years and try UC berkeley, or transfer in 2.5 years ( winter quarter) to UC Davis.

Also, what science major is less selective for UCB ( as my GPA is low) (must be B.S., ) My friend said molecular and cell biology (MCB) is easier to get in, but this is a B.A. How about toxiology?

I have joined two club (which I don;t really enjoy and not related to my major!) and some volunteer activity!

I think you should just wait and transfer to UCB. While Davis is a great school, it doesn’t hold the same weight as a diploma from Berkeley, especially if you are considering graduate school.

The most popular science majors in Berkeley are MCB and Integrative Biology, but these are both B.A.s for some reason. I am not sure if toxicology is a B.S. but it might be. I do know that it should be easier to get into than MCB and IB because it is in the College of Public Health, which is much less competitive than the College of Letters and Science.

in case you desire to pursue a graduate degree in engineering, doing physics and attempting to get into Engineering training even although you do not have priority might paintings out. i be attentive to a post-rfile who’s a physics substantial yet is at the instant working interior the EECS branch. Of the 50 unusual human beings i’ve got met who’re undergrads majoring in EECS, I basically be attentive to one previous CC pupil so i do no longer advise that direction.
