Sometimes high school is hell. I won’t lie. Don’t get too attached to it. Many people fall when it comes to the social atmosphere…so I’d say, don’t get too wrapped up in that. You might even find that the best friends to rely on are the ones outside of school.

Do extracurricular activities (whatever you like) to keep a positive outlook (and maybe find some friends). It’s fun, and looks great on your college transcript.

Take summer school if you need the credit — for example, it’s usually possible to take the dreaded health class over the summer. (Everyone, everywhere, is required to take it, right?) Health class is common sense stuff; it is so easy, better to get it done in a couple weeks rather than suffer a long, boring year. Plan well.

I’m a “nerd”, so from this standpoint I’ll say that the most important thing about school…is school. Take your schoolwork seriously, keep in touch with your counselor to choose the right classes and discuss testing, ask teachers questions, find tutoring somehow/somewhere if you need it, apply to collegeboard.com for SAT/AP testing, and…set your alarm clock. xP

Lol, some people say that this is supposed to be the time of your life… Aren’t those people the ones that have crappy lives afterwards? It’s not terrible, but the harder you work, the easier things will be in the future.

Well I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for specifically but I just graduated from high school so I’ll give you some advice.

Don;t miss out. High school is an interesting time, some people like it more than others but either way a lot of the things you’ll do in these four years you’ll never get a chance to do again.

Freshman year is interesting. Be respectful but not intimidated by the upperclassmen. Know your limits as freshmen but don;t let that limit your friendships with upperclassmen. You’ll probably make more friends in your own grade, at least close friends, but try to make friends with everybody. I regretted not having a lot of friends when I graduated.

Also make sure you do your best academically. High school really matters for college so make sure you keep up with everything. Get involved with sports and clubs because you make friends and it looks good for colleges. Hope this helps. You’ve got four years don’t miss out or you’ll regret it.

high school is not as bad as u think. im going to be a senior next year and trust me we really dont want anything to do with freshman. so don’t mess with them and they wont mess with u. don’t worry about it so much its ok to be a little nervous but once u get there just find your friends and go with the flow. For studying its not what u know its who u know. Get some friend together to study. Another tip is try to make some friends that are older and have taken your classes and see if they have old notes or tests that u can study. Yeah and also try to get up on time i know its hard but its worth it. But just make sure you do one thing and that is to have FUN. These years are some of the best years u will have so make the most of them.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tips: be yourself. acting differently loses friends and makes a bad impression on the older students. just hang out with your friends, but talk to new people as well. and don’t pick fights with the seniors! as for studying just do the same thing you always do. you might want to wake up a little earlier than you used to. I always had to get up at 6:00, but that was because I had a class before school started. good luck with freshman year, and don’t be scared!

I think you’ll find it an easy transition from middle school. On what you should be careful: don’t put too much on your plate. It’s great to be ambitious, but don’t overcrowd yourself with hard classes and too many extra curricular activities. Waking up: set your alarm for the radio, its not as harsh an awakening. Coffe can help getting started, but tea and energy drinks provide too much.

Stick with your friends and survive the way everyone else has ;p

i just finished my freshman year. What really helped for me so i didnt have to study a lot for tests was to listen to my teachers if you have good ones. it can be boring but it helps. One thing is that you get SOOO much more hw. Do lots of after school activities. Try hard now because it WILL effect your whole high school career. It’s crazy. eventually you will get used to high school and it wont be that bad. You got some good advice from me and other ppl so use it well.

You survived middle school. That was the hard part in my opinion! Get involved in some afterschool activities or clubs that you’re interested in. Study a little each night. Turn your work in on time. Get to bed at least 8 hours before you need to get up. You’ll be fine!

Just be cool. Study hard, stay away from drugs, eat healthy, work out. Set your alarm really early so you aren’t late for the bus. Give yourself plenty of time to get ready. You should be alright…just don’t get caught up with trying to fit in by doing something stupid. Good luck.

be in a good “clique”. Don’t pick friends who are gonna make you do something that you will later on regret. Be a good kid and a teacher’s pet, you’ll get better grades. Don’t listen to what people say about you or to you cuz they either want to bring you down becasue they jealous or they just jealous. There is gonna be tons of DRAMA so be ready. And, sweetie, the rest is up to you, SO DO WHAT IT DO!!!!
