Sorority/Fraternity?

As far as being a pledge – you are no longer referred to as that term, but a “new member”. Hazing also has a University No Tolerance Policy nationwide – so there is no risk of being hazed.
The most treacherous activity was 6 hours of study hall a week – and that is hardly a punishment!
I would do it all over again – well worth every minute and dollar spent!
We did absolutely no type of hazing. There are tons of rules and regulations to ensure that hazing doesn’t happen, at the university level, the national chapter level, and the individual chapter level. Still, some chapters may get by all that, but it’s pretty rare. We aren’t even allowed to tell new members that a meeting is mandatory because that’s considered hazing.
Was it worth it? Joining a sorority was the second best thing I have done for myself, second only to deciding to go to college. And my sisters are amazing. I don’t know what I would do without them.
As a pledge, we had new member education. No hazing.
