Sophomore that needs help?

Im going into the 2nd year of high school, but another year of no activities. i have gotten straight A’s all through freshmanyear, with honor classes, except for geometry, but i heard you have to be well rounded, and yet i did nothing. i am taking ap euro and all honors this year. Im not good at any sports and i even tried out for the dance team, but didnt make it. I’ve started tennis lessons.. but cannot start till next year..because the coach only accepts people in the summer. and i have thought of the idea of running for secreutary, but i have no way of getting the votes. what am i supposed to do? i only have 2 years left.. and have no clue what to do.

Join a club…maybe one that does volunteer work like a Key Club. If your high school doesn’t offer one, find an outside place to volunteer, depending on your interests. That way, you show you care about the world and you make gain some experience in a field you’ll later decided to have a career in.

consider something like track or cross country. for the most part, they are no cut sports and you can start up with any level of training. definitely do volunteer work and if you can get involved with something like a speech or debate team, that will really hone your leadership skills (something that colleges like to see and an important life skill)

All of your extracurricular does not have to be completed at the school. You can do things around the community, in a volunteer organization, or in church. Try to find or start a volunteer organization.

don’t worry.. you’d probably be doing more on your third and fourth year… when i was a junior back in highschool.. that was when i started piling up on work.. but they were fun
