Should I start to go to Public School?

I have been Home Schooled for about 8 or 9 years now and was wondering if I should start Public Schooling. I am kinda shy but like to make new friends. Is Public School really hard? Do you get loads of homework that is hard to do? Or should I just stay Home Schooled?

I would be starting High School so now is the time to join if i want to. Where I live School has not started yet.

Thanks for your time.

I love being in puclic school… I sure you will do just fine. The work load is probably easier than yours at home. Class can be boring but sometimes you get really amazing teachers that inspire your intrest in a subject (furture career) You meet loads of friends and you have fun things like dance and sports. I recommend going you sound like you really want to make some new friends so do it! you might be the new class president! I have switch schools in the middle of high school and it sucked at first but once you meet people in your class and show them how fun you are you will be fine, dont worry that everyone has known eachother they are probably sick of the old people anyways.

well, Ive done both, and let me tell you, high school kids can be mean, but that doesn’t mean that you wont make friends, It can be a really good experience to meet new people, from all different backgrounds and ethnic cultures. Most high schools have “clique’s”, the popular crowd, geeks, athletics, …. If you like spots, this would be a good opportunity for you not to mention other clubs you could join there that can boost your resume for collage, and its also an easy way for you to make friends, you could try it, and if your not satisfied there, you can always go back to home schooling! Good luck

If you like to have someone else decide your daily schedule, and what classes to take to receive your diploma instead of directing your own education with the guidance of your parents; than public school is the place to go.

If your parents agree, you can always try it for a semester or so and see if it works for you, if not, simply go back to your home school program.

You will not have lost any time, but will have gained another learning experience.
