should i keep doing this club?

okay, so pretty much, i’ve been doing environmental club since like 8th grade. i am now a junior. i was president last year, but this year a very popular senior girl and all her friends joined the club and she decided that it would be nice to be president. needless to say, she was voted president, and i was left with no officer position whatsofreakingever. it’s pathetic, but i went home and cried while that girl got to be president of my club.

anyways, i do a few other clubs at school: model UN, cinema club, and the newspaper writing club. i play guitar outside of school. i’m officer in cin club, but i play NO sports.

are these enough activities for colleges to be happy about? can i just quit environmental club? i swear to god, it makes me so unhappy.

to quit, or not to quit?

if u dont like it u shuld quit. i am waaay younger than u (seventh garde, anyone?) but i no a thing or too about happiness. i felt the same way. i know u r upset about the president situation but there is probably something else u r upset about. anyway, u dont like the club and thts fine. Go ahead and quit and join next year. c what happens. And yes. u seem like a very smart and talented person. a good college will be happy to take u

You sound to me like you’re doing fine with your extracurriculars. If one of them is making you unhappy, stop going! But also don’t just quit a club you love because the person who runs it sucks. You no doubt know more about this club than her and will probably have to help her in the long run plan activities and fundraising. Just because you aren’t president doesn’t mean you can’t play a leadership role (even if its unofficial). Let everyone else see how you shine in and out of office. Leading without official recognition will impress club member and teachers alike.

also note: Colleges don’t like to just see alot of clubs they like commitment to clubs. Your record is impressive both in time spent and offices held.

Good Luck!
