School Fundraiser?

I have to do my school fundraier this year and I have to sell Innisbrook wrapping paper and Helen grace chocolates. Does anyone have any tips on getting alot of people to buy and how to get them, to buy?

So the REAL question is about the art of selling? Go to any public library and you will find book after book on the art of selling. This is a huge subject, and you could make a career of teaching people how to sell. Car salesmen have the same question. People in any field of commerce are always trying to find the answer to your question. In short, there is no easy answer. You have to search for it, and then put it into practice. Good luck with your project!

People often overlook the power of the word… “Because.” Use the word “because” in your sales pitch every time, every customer. Which one sounds more powerful:

“Would you like to buy some wrapping paper or chocolates?”

Or:

“My school is selling wrapping paper and chocolates because we need to replace our old worn out stuff. Can you help us?”

The word because changes your entire approach. It’s easy to say no to wrapping paper and chocolates, it’s much harder to say no to something a school needs. You’ve changed your whole approach; instead of asking somebody to buy something, you’ve offered them an opportunity to help a good cause and get something nice in return.
