Last year we held a special luncheon each semester. I was able to get lunch donated from a local restaurant. Kids were able to buy ‘double tickets’ with a friend for $2. Twenty pairs of students were chosen to participate. They received the free lunch and were allowed (with special permission from the principal) to miss all of 5th period for one day. That allowed them to stay in the cafeteria for all three lunch periods and to see all of their friends. The combo of free food and time out of class worked well. We raised almost $500. We called it the ‘Lunch Bunch.” Good luck!
