Report Card Question?

My parents are going to talk to me this evening about my semester report card. I ended this year with: A, B, B, C, C, C (which is the worst I’ve ever done). They also will expect me to answer this:

“What do you think should be the course of actions to steer you back on track for the next school year and beyond?”

How should I answer this? I really was trying hard, but it was harder this year (sophmore=hard subjects). My schedule for next year seems like it will be a lot easier. Should I tell them that it was really just a matter of the subjects I took that caused the grades to end up like this?

Well you could tell them that you are trying to meet the A-G requirements to attend college and that you are going to try to take honor and AP courses to help you achieve this. You might also want to let them know that school is not so easy that you are willing to go to summer school if that is what they want but that you deserve a break because as you advance the courses get harder to achieve. You might also want to give them a “planned” schedule that includes you taking the SAT I and II and also looking at the colleges you want to go to and tell them the minimum GPA needed and the percentage of students that got accepted.

waiting for the world to change
dunno what you should tell them but I’m warning you, junior year WILL NOT be easier because you have alot of extra stuff to do like PSATs, SATS, SAT IIs, looking at colleges, figuring out what you want to do, and generally preparing for college apps, plus your junior year grades are REALLY important in term of college
