Random Drug Testing In Schools – Will Workplace be next?

I was reading the news as I always do in the morning and came across it appears a pilot program for certain US states who have participated or will participate in drug test review not only in schools but certain or all workplaces that request.

I am not a drug user but familiar with drug test website’s like http://www.drugtest.org in which they offer actual home drug test kits or products that can help you pass a test.

My question is, with all this current knowledge and availability of products like this online, will the Government allow such procedures to happen? If so, talk about a waste of time for us “clean” folk.

There is a factory in my area that now does random drug testing. It does not matter if you have been there 10 days or ten years. Also, if you get tested one month it does not mean your safe for a while. They pick random social security numbers and choose that way. I agree that if your clean, as I am too, that it is a waste of time and effort, not to mention an inconvenience.

I have no problems with it. If someone can be fired based on “failing” a drug test, I am for it.

For examples:

I would not want my child’s school bus driver to be doing drugs while working. How many lives if he/she willing to risk for a “high”.

I would not want a police officer to be “high” while on duty, he/she can pull out the gun and shoot at people randomly.

I would not want a pilot on drugs, he can crash and kill hundreds and thousands.

I am clean and will always be clean, so I don’t mind at all. If it costs a little to avoid a big disaster, I am ok with the expense.

I am not a drug user either but if my kids came home from school and told me they were randomly drug tested,I would be at the principals office pretty fast.I think it is terrible! Not just a waste of time and money but demoralizing to an innocent child.
