how much does it cost to enroll in a photography class alone at a community college?

It all depends on the college. I’ve taken several at a local c.c. and the class was $400. The materials you use are what’s really expensive. Expect to spend several more hundred on film, darkroom supplies, and paper. Hope you already have a camera or that’s another few hundred! Photography is a very expensive hobby.

It depends on the number of credit hours and the cost per credit hour that your community college charges. Our local college was $63 per hour and I’m guessing you’d be looking at at least 3 credit hours, so, $189 plus fees if any.

Our community college ranks in the top five nationally academically, I have no idea how they rank in costs. Best bet is to check online for your college. They will list the class, hours and the fee per hour.

Your college may also have other options for students, often you can take a non credit community class that has a lower price, again, the school representative or web site will tell you what you need to know

my local cc is cheap, less than 100 dollars.

also, try a local photography shop, they usually give classes on photography for nothing or a very low price, and they are pros.
