okayy i alway thought about this and never knew the answer to it…so lets say i have a 50 pound ball in my hand and i am inside a house..is the house 50 pounds heavier? and i think the answer is yes .. but what if i wasnt holding the 50 pound ball.. and it was floating in the air.. is the house 50 pounds heavier?? please answer both questions!! thankss

ok……….gravity is what gives matter its weight!! so if you are holding a ball that weighs 50 lbs then yes the house weighs 50 pounds more, but if the 50 lb ball is floating around in the air there is not enough gravity to make fall to the ground, therefore it would be weightless not making the house any heavier, but that does not mean that the house is weightless. it depends on the strength of th gravity!!
