Plans to build my own guitar?
Does anyone know where i can find FREE plans to build an electric guitar, preferably with an explorer style body?

Wha… you think you can just grab some plans, some wood, and some parts and build a guitar? It ain’t that easy. On top of that, making copies of guitars like the Explorer can put you into hot water with the law.
I would suggest that you go to your local library and find a book on electric guitar construction. Look for an author named Melvyn Hiscock…. he has a couple of REALLY good books on building guitars.
Expect that it will cost you at LEAST twice as much as if you were to buy a new guitar from a shop, and that it will take at LEAST a couple of months or more to build your first one. Adding insult to injury, your first guitar will probably suck.
Thats just the way it is… I’ve been building guitars since 1978.
