My teacher gave me a “D” and now I’m afraid that I’ll be rejected from attending college. Help?

I applied to a University of California school for the fall semester and I got in. Problem is: the school requires that all prospective students earn grades of “C”s or better. I got a “D” in a history class, which to this day, is heavily disputed.

The teacher initially gave me an “F” but changed it to a “D” so I could graduate on stage, but even this “charity” grade is far below me. I turned in everything and did everything I was supposed to do. I even counted the work I got back and discovered that I had a “B” average. He gave me the bad grade BECAUSE HE DOESN’T LIKE ME! I’ve appealed this grade a few times already and I’ve had meetings with teachers, but according to my principal, “by law,” she “cannot force a teacher to change” my grade.

I just called the UC school. They told me that my imminent rejection is highly likely and that there’s nothing I can do about it. Deadlines to submit final High School transcripts are on July 15.

WTF CAN I DO?!!

Get all of your returned work in order. If you’ve already gone over this with your principal, make an appointment with her supervisor. Your school district will have a uniform complaint procedure, and you need to find out what it is and use it. You don’t have time for a lawsuit, but you can threaten to take the case to a local newspaper. You better be able to back up your claim otherwise you would be guilty of slander. If there are students from the class who have been aware of your performance, you might ask one of them to join you to provide support. Good luck. Most teachers would never purposefully interfere with a student’s future. I’m sorry this is happening.

Although you have already graduated high school and may be 18 or older, this is a matter you should let your parents handle. If you have evidence to prove that you deserved a “B” instead of a “D,” you should have your parents contact the principal, the school district, and the teacher.

Perhaps if the teacher/principal/school district is threatened with a law suit or even get a letter from a lawyer suggesting that a law suit is pending, they will change their tune. I am not normally a litigious person, but this unfair grade is affecting your future.

Do all that you can to get it changed, and do it quickly!

Contact the school board/superintendent and claim it’s a discrimination case. Or a newspaper. If it pans out at all, let the college know of the situation. If you’ve really got a B average based on actual grades, then it shouldn’t be a problem.

probability is this in simple terms isn’t a challenge assuming your standard GPA continues to be on the suited point. I wager the worst ingredient that would ensue is they place you on educational probation. this might in simple terms provide you greater a reason to do properly once you initiate college. Worst comprises worst pass to a backup college and circulate on your college of selection.
